First day of Eid Al Adha to be announced today

Muscat: The main committee to investigate the sighting of the crescent of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah for this year, 1445 AH, will meet this evening, Thursday, at the General Office of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs. The committee will call on citizens and residents to investigate the sighting of the crescent.

If the sighting of the Dhul-Hijjah moon is confirmed today, the first day of Eid Al Adha will be Sunday, June 16, 2024. However, if the sighting of the crescent is not confirmed, then Monday, June 17, 2024, will be the first day of Eid Al Adha.
