Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has welcomed and valued the Republic of Slovenia’s recognition of the State of Palestine.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday, Oman encouraged the rest of the international community to follow suit.
Such moves, the statement affirmed, would “secure to the Palestinian people the right to establish their own independent state and consolidate international efforts supporting the Two-State Solution and backing the establishment of lasting and sustainable peace in the region”.
