Muscat: The coordinating committee tasked with regulating the civil aviation sector today held its first meeting of 2024 under the auspices of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
Attended by representatives of civil aviation sector institutions, the meeting aimed at enhancing the advancement of the civil aviation sector in the Sultanate of Oman.
The committee discussed novel ways to ensure better integration between regulatory and operational aspects of the civil aviation sector.
The participants looked into practical measures to implement the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 in line with the civil aviation law and Oman’s international obligations. They also exchanged views about modern methods of making optimal use of available human and financial resources.
The committee, headed by the Civil Aviation Authority, was formed as per Administrative Decision No. 1249/2022 and Administrative Decision No. 303/2024. It comprises representatives of all civil aviation sector establishments in Oman.
