Oman participates in 15th meeting of ESCWA social development committee in Cairo

Cairo: Represented by the Ministry of Social Development, the Sultanate of Oman took part in the 15th session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), held in Cairo.

Oman’s delegation was headed by Dr. Laila Ahmed Al Najjar, Minister of Social Development.

The meeting discussed the problem of escalating inequalities that emanate from a succession of crises in some countries, population segments in the Arab region, means to address common challenges, follow-up of achievements made in the field of social development and recommendations issued by the ESCWA committee during its 14th session.
