Muscat: The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (Opaz) won the Best Institutional Investor Award for Excellence in Technology in Comex 2024, in recognition of its participation and showcasing OMAP platform.
The authority received this recognition for the OMAP platform, which offers integrated visual maps incorporating data from the comprehensive plans of the industrial zones, free zones, and special economic zones affiliated with Opaz. Using digital maps and other tools, the platform gives users access to comprehensive services and information for the zones, making it a valuable tool for electronically selecting lands.
The platform's objectives are to increase investment opportunities in all authority-supervised zones and to give investors access to information and spatial systems that aid in their decision-making. It also enables investors to take advantage of recent innovations for future growth, urban planning, and the ability to print maps.
This award is a culmination of the authority's excellence in serving investors and offering cutting-edge digital services in the investment sector. It also acknowledges the Authority's efforts to transform the digital economy by implementing electronic programs and applications that streamline processes and give investors quick, secure, and all-encompassing services.
