ROP arrests several across Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested several people across the Sultanate of Oman for various crimes and violations.

18 arrested for attempting to leave the country illegally

ROP said in a statement :"Coast Guard police boats led by the North Al Batinah Governorate Police seized a boat carrying 18 people of Asian nationalities while they were trying to leave the country illegally. The legal procedures were completed against them." 

Three arrested for assaulting a person in Muscat Governorate

A statement issued online by ROP said :"Muscat Governorate Police Command arrests three people for assaulting and beating a citizen, after a video clip was circulated on social media showing them doing so. The legal procedures are being completed against them." 

Police arrests 12 expats for violating the labour and residence laws in Oman

ROP said in a statement :"The Al Dhahirah Governorate Police Command, with the support of the Ibri Special Tasks Police Unit, arrested 12 people of African and Asian nationalities on several farms in the Wilayat of Dhank for violating the labour and residence laws of foreigners. The legal procedures are being completed against them. "
