Oman participates in 16th edition of Gulf Radio, Television Festival in Manama

Manama: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Information, is taking part in the 16th edition of the Gulf Radio and Television Festival in Manama, Bahrain, from 28 to 30 May 2024.

The festival, which takes the slogan “Our Media, Our Identity”, is organised by the Bahraini Ministry of Information in cooperation with Gulf Radio and Television.

Ibrahim Saif Al Azri, Director-General and Editor-in-Chief of Oman News Agency (ONA), Head of the delegation of the Ministry of Information at the festival, said that the Ministry’s participation in the 16th edition of Gulf Radio and Television Festival in the Kingdom of Bahrain affirms Oman’s keenness to actively join in GCC media events.

Al Azri described the festival as an important forum and an annual event that brings together media institutions from GCC states. “The event constitutes a podium where media personnel and agencies from member states showcase their innovative radio and TV contents,” he added.

Al Azri pointed out that the Ministry will exhibit its products in a pavilion within the framework of an event titled “radio and TV production market”. The pavilion comprises dashboards and screens displaying the media content of the Ministry of Information.

The 2024 Radio and Television Festival’s competition will be contested by teams representing the Ministry of Information and private media establishments in Oman.
