Oman crime: Attempt to smuggle liquor foiled

Muscat: Border control officers foiled two smuggling attempt on separate occasions.
Officers at the Wajajah Border with neighboring United Arab Emirates, as well as Hafit, foiled an attempt to smuggle 30 bottles and cans of alcoholic beverages.

Similarly, customs officials at Muscat International Airport foil an attempt to smuggle 2100 psychotropic tablets.

Legal procedures have been taken against the suspects.
