Muscat: A fraudster, who posed as a bank employee and convinced a woman to disclose a One Time Pin (OTP), has been arrested after he withdrew over OMR 10,000 from the woman's account.
In a statement, the Royal Oman Police said: “Al Dhahirah Governorate Police Command arrested a person of Asian nationality for defrauding a woman after making her believe that he worked as an employee in a bank. He asked her to update her information with the bank and to provide him with the OTP, which enabled him to withdraw an amount of over OMR 10,000."
