Muscat: The permanent exhibition of archaeological finds has been inaugurated in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
The permanent exhibition of archaeological finds was opened in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, which allows visitors to learn about a large group of archaeological finds and rarities of ancient collectibles. It coincides with the celebration of International Museum Day, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of museums and their role in preserving and preserving material history.
Ali bin Saeed Al Adawi, Director of the Heritage and Tourism Department in the governorate, said:" This year’s celebration of International Museum Day, which came under the slogan “Museums for Education and Scientific Research,” highlights the importance of museums as an important means of cultural exchange."
Saeed bin Salem Al Jadidi, Head of the Antiquities and Museums Department at the Department of Heritage and Tourism in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, explained that the permanent exhibition of finds includes a group of rare artifacts, including pottery and iron pieces that were discovered in various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. In addition to the participation of a number of private museum owners, namely: the Nizwa Museum, the Gateway to the Past Museum in the Wilayat of Nizwa, the Currency Museum in the Wilayat of Al Hamra, and Sharaf House Museum in the Wilayat of Jabal Al Akhdar.
His Excellency Sheikh Saleh bin Dhiyab Al-Rubaie, Governor of Nizwa, the sponsor of the ceremony, opened the exhibition and honored the entities that support archaeological exhibitions and the owners of private museums licensed in the governorate.
