Muscat - BankDhofar a leading financial institution in the Sultanate of Oman - announced the new organizational structure for the executive management members of the bank. The management team now consists of 16 Omani top talent members with a diverse background across departments. This is aligned with the Oman Vision 2040, and the directives of the Central Bank of Oman in supporting the banking sector with national talents.
BankDhofar has demonstrated a successful Omanization model in the banking sector by hiring, nurturing and placing talented Omani professionals in various management, administrative and operational roles. Alongside this model, the bank has witnessed a robust growth in its operational profit as well as an expansion in its branch network that has resulted in taking the Bank even closer to its customers.
The bank is pleased to share the promotion of three leaders to the senior management cadre. Ms. Maryam Yousef Al Balushi, a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience, has assumed the role of Assistant General Manager for Large Corporates. Ms. Maryam is a strong corporate banker who will surely bring in growth and innovation in serving corporate clients. Mr. Ezideen Juma Al Mazroui, has been elevated to the level of Assistant General Manager and Deputy Chief Risk Officer (DCRO). With his extensive expertise, Ezideeen will play an important role in enhancing risk management frameworks and robust and secure information systems. Mr. Saleh Mohammed Al Hadhrami, a legal expert at BankDhofar is appointed as the Assistant General Manager, Head of Legal, and Board Secretary. Saleh's leadership will be instrumental ensuring governance and sound legal practices.

“The bank has made significant progress in Omanizing its workforce, with 80% of leadership positions now held by Omanis. In recent months; the bank has further recruited around 250 highly qualified and talented Omanis in various departments, raising the overall Omanization ratio to 92%.” he added.
Training is a critical growth funnel for the talent pool at the bank. Hence, BankDhofar has a leading Learning & Development Academy that runs various training and development needs under the brand “Performance Academy”. The Academy is the state of the art facility and core Hub for all the Learning and Development initiatives in the Bank aiming at improving employee performance, productivity, and career development. The Academy consists of several classrooms with branch simulation, real time transaction testing to empower talent with additional responsibilities to assist in propelling growth expectations to the next phase. During the first quarter alone a total of 62% of the Bank’s staff took part in training both at the Performance academy as well as through enrollment in the Banks e-learning platform.
In alignment with the Oman Vision 2040 regarding SMEs, the bank trained 85 of its talent pool on operational, financial and service excellence and simultaneously placed them across its branches in the Sultanate of Oman. These SME specialized employees are thoroughly trained to assist the needs of SME owners and help to provide the best banking services.
Furthermore, earlier this month, the bank successfully concluded an engaging session on Omani Women’s Leadership. The forum addressed key themes, including the importance of women's participation in the financial and business sectors, the importance of diversity and inclusion at workplace in addition to strategies for empowering women to transform their dreams to impactful projects. This works to reinforce the bank’s commitment to bringing in more female leaders.
