National Defence College begins parallel programme on Climate Change and Net Zero

Muscat: The parallel programme themed “Climate Change and Net Zero” kicked off today at the National Defence College (NDC).

The programme aims to highlight the national strategy and national prgramme for net zero emissions. It also sheds light on best practices, sustainable solutions and national priorities in a bid to achieve net zero emissions.

Further, the first day’s programme included a lecture on the “National Strategy for Organized Transformation to Net Zero” delivered by Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals.

The programme will run till 23 May 2024. It is held within the framework of the NDC’s role in enhancing the leadership skills and abilities of several government officials as well as senior officers at the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and other military and security units.
