New batch of trainee soldiers begin course

Muscat:The Royal Court Affairs (RCA) received a new batch of soldiers to join the basic military training programme on Sunday.

As reported by Oman News Agency (ONA), in a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Labour, the Royal Court Affairs welcomed a fresh cohort of soldiers at the Royal Court Affairs Security Unit in Al-Khoud. This marks the commencement of their basic military training programme, a crucial step in preparing them to join their peers in various military units, thereby contributing to the nation's service.

Those accepted completed all procedures, underwent evaluation, and passed all admission stages, including written and mathematical tests and personal interviews. New soldiers at the Military Training and Qualification Center will receive basic skills. It includes military training, physical fitness, field skills, infantry skills, and a set of basic axes in military discipline, rules, regulations, laws, and military knowledge that make them able to exercise their job roles and make them aware of the amount of responsibility placed on them in a systematic manner based on foundations that achieve their self-development and raise From their morale, which helps them contribute to serving their country and strengthening their belonging to it.

Regarding the preparations, Lieutenant Colonel Saud bin Mkhammad Al-Harrasi, Director of the Military Training and Qualification Center, said: "The centre is dedicated to transforming these individuals from civilians to military personnel. The training will span eight months, during which the new soldiers will be immersed in a wealth of military knowledge and various training programs. These programs equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their future duties effectively."
