Muscat: The Secretary-General of the GCC countries confirmed that the visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik to the State of Kuwait strengthens the bonds of brotherhood and interdependence between the GCC countries
His Excellency Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC countries, stressed that the visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik to the State of Kuwait and his meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, strengthens the bonds of brotherhood and interdependence between the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and consolidates the principles of integration among the Gulf peoples, and is an important building block in the path of joint Gulf action.
His Excellency said in a statement: “This visit confirms the depth of the historical ties and relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Kuwait, which have always been a role model for strategic partnership, and reflects the mutual desire to raise the level of cooperation and integration to broader horizons.”
His Excellency added: “This visit represents a strong impetus for the entire Gulf integration process, reinforced by the desire of the leaders of the GCC countries to work jointly towards achieving a future vision that contributes to achieving security and prosperity for the peoples of their countries.”
His Excellency touched on the visit made by His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, to the Sultanate of Oman. This visit included the opening of the Duqm refinery and petrochemical industries and represented the culmination of relations, especially related to fruitful economic cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
