Muscat: Dr. Khalifa Abdullah Al Barwani, CEO of the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) yesterday received a delegation of experts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The meeting came within the framework of preparation for the 2024 Article IV consultations.
The consultations are hosted by the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) and the Ministry of Finance, till 8 May 2024.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed statistics and information which reflect economic and financial developments, as well as inflation indicators.
They also discussed several other matters related to the tasks and specialisations of the NCSI.
