OMR125,000 worth honey sold in Oman

Muscat: Nearly 5 tonnes of honey worth OMR125,000 was sold at the 6th Omani honey market.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries seeks to support the development of this sector, which is attracting increasing number of citizens and owners of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and to provide all possible support in this area.
According to the agricultural census of 2015, the number of Omani beekeepers were about 4,500 and the number of honey bee hives are around 100,000 producing about 500 tonnes of different types of Omani honey.
