Omani Haj Mission reviews Saudi Arabia travel plan

Muscat: Omani Haj Mission for 1437 AH/2016 held its first meeting at the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs yesterday under the chair of Sheikh Nasser bin Yousef Al Azri, Chairman of the Omani Haj Mission.
The meeting discussed the aims of the Omani Haj Mission, the work methodology and the responsibilities of the delegations that comprise the Haj Mission. It also discussed some developments related to Haj this year and took necessary measures for them.
After the meeting, the Chairman of the Omani Haj Mission said the main goal is to provide Omani pilgrims with good services and smooth performance of the Haj rituals.
He added that the Mission will travel to the sacred lands on August 28 and will return on September 17.
He pointed out that the major developments for this year’s Haj is that the Mission will head directly to Mecca and then proceed to Medina.
The Omani Haj Mission includes representatives of Iftaa, Religious Guidance, financial and administrative affairs, campaign supervisors, media professionals, Royal Oman Police, media means and Scouting.
