Rains forecast over parts of Oman

Muscat: Cloud activity has been recorded over the Hajar mountain range with chances of expansion and scattered rains of varying intensity.

The General Directorate of Meteorology added: “Local formation activity is expected to continue during the coming days, in addition to chances of scattered rain on the coast of Dhofar Governorate.”

In General the weather forecast of today is as follows:

- Convective Clouds development with chance of isolated rain expected during afternoon over parts of Al Hajar Mountains.

- Low clouds or fog patches over parts of South Al Sharqiyah, North Al Sharqiyah, and parts of Oman Sea coastal areas.

- Chance for dust storms in deserts and open areas.
