Oman LNG signs 10-year gas supply agreement with TotalEnergies

Muscat: Oman LNG announced the signing of a Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with TotalEnergies.
The agreement encapsulates the offtake of 0.8 million metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) of LNG from Oman LNG for 10 years starting from 2025.

Such a step aims to leverage the growing partnership between Oman LNG and TotalEnergies, where it reflects the former’s effort to extend support to the local economy through the delivery of reliable energy from Oman to customers worldwide.

Commenting on this agreement, Hamed Mohammed Al Nu’amani, CEO of Oman LNG, said: "The Sales and Purchase Agreement strengthens TotalEnergies presence in Oman as a result of growing collaboration over the years which is now translated to a term deal. This deal enhances the collaboration with TotalEnergies as a global LNG portfolio player and Oman LNG’s distinguished shareholder.”

“We are pleased to further strengthen our partnership with Oman LNG through this Sales and Purchase Agreement. It represents a significant step towards increasing our LNG portfolio and aligns with our commitment to meet global demand for flexible, affordable energy. This deal is part of a wider cooperation with Oman, a country in which we are committed to contributing to economic growth through diverse and ambitious energy projects,” said Julien Pouget, Senior Vice President Middle East & North Africa, Exploration & Production at TotalEnergies.

Not only does this agreement reinforce the company’s reputation as a dependable LNG supplier, it also sustains Oman LNG’s adaptability in managing a shifting energy landscape worldwide.
