Muscat: Military teams from various units are working round the clock to bring normalcy in the lives of people in the aftermath of weather conditions affecting the Sultanate of Oman.
As part of a coordinated national effort to deal with the effects of the weather situation, units of the Royal Army of Oman continue with their restoration and rehabilitation operations in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate.
The Royal Army of Oman, represented by the Desert Battalion, provided drinking water to the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi, and reopened a number of main and secondary roads affected by the weather condition.
The units area lso engaged in removing mud and dirt in the wilayat of Dima W'attayeen , Wilayat of Al-Qabil, and Wadi Bani Khalid, in addition to continuing the search for the missing person in the Wilayat of Al-Mudhaibi due to the weather condition.
The engineering services of the Ministry of Defence, along with other government institutions, are intensifying their efforts to contain the effects of the weather condition (rainfall), and they provided engineering and technical support to ensure safe passage on the damaged roads in the North Al Batinah Governorate.
The engineering services teams continue to restore basic and necessary infrastructure in the governorate by activating mobile water suction pumps, water transport tanks, and draining water bodies, in a number of villages in the wilayats of Al Khaboura and Saham.
The engineering services team also reopened the Madha-Buraimi road and removed mud accumulations in Al-Buraimi Governorate from the recent weather condition.
The units also helped in providing electrical power generators to the sites affected by the power outage in the Wilayat of Mahout in the Governorate.
