Muscat: Atmospheric data analysis conducted by the National Multi-Hazards Early Warning Centre (Civil Aviation Authority) indicates that the current weather condition in the Sultanate of Oman will peak tomorrow 16 April 2024.
Aisha Jumaa Al Qasmi, a meteorologist at the Civil Aviation Authority, said that the rains are likely to persist at an intense rate during the evening hours today, Monday 15 April, and peak from the midnight of Tuesday 16 April until the dawn of Wednesday 17 April.
The meteorologist said that the third wave of the depression constitutes the deepest impacts of the weather condition. She added that heavy to extremely heavy rains are likely to drench the governorates of Musandam, A'Dhahirah, Al Buraimi, North Al Batinah and A’Dakhiliyah, while the governorates of South Al Batinah, Muscat and parts of the Al Wusta Governorate are expected to experience sporadic rains of varying intensity.
The trough will also continue to prevail in the governorates of A’Dakhiliyah, North A’Sharqiyah and South A’Sharqiyah, the meteorologist added.
