Oman Weather: Body of child recovered in Oman

Muscat: The body of a child was found in Wadi Al Batha in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi, North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, the Royal Oman Police (ROP), said.

ROP said in a statement: "The body of a dead child was found by citizens in Wadi Al Batha in the state of Al Mudhaibi."

North Al Sharqiyah Governorate witnessed very heavy rains that led to the flow of valleys and reefs, causing severe losses.

Meanwhile, the incident of floodwaters entering the courtyard of the Rawdha School for Basic Education has not caused any damage, according to the General Directorate of Education in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate. The Directorate immediately contacted the General Command of the Royal Oman Police in the governorate to deal directly with this case.

"The directorate confirmed that no effects have been recorded at the time of issuing this statement. It is monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of our students and educational staff in the school," a statement said.
