Oman Weather: Latest update forecasts continued rainfall

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will continue to be affected by a low-pressure system for four days from Sunday, April 14, 2024, until Thursday, April 17, 2024, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said.

The latest forecasts and analysis from the National Early Warning Center for Multiple Hazards indicate that the weather in the Sultanate of Oman will be affected by a low-pressure system from Sunday, April 14 until Wednesday,  April 17, 2024 with continued chances of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall (30-120) mm accompanied by hail and flooding in the governorates of North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, Al Dhahirah Al Dakhiliyah, South Al Batinah, Muscat, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Musandam and Al Wusta.

There are also chances of rainfall at varying intensities in the governorate of Dhofar.  The Civil Aviation Authority advises all to take precautions during rain, wadis flow, and visibility reduction.
