Oman Weather: ROP dealing with several reports of people stuck in valleys

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police is dealing with several reports of people stuck in Wadis across Oman due to the inclement weather conditions:

People are stuck inside a vehicle in Wadi Al-Shibbak in the Wilayat of Izki in Al-Dakhiliyah Governorate.

A school bus containing students is stuck in a Wadi stream on Kidd Road in the state of Bahla in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. The report is being dealt with.

A bus and a vehicle with three people are stuck in Wadi Al-Wahrah in the Wilayat of Ibri. The Ibri State Police Station and the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority are dealing with the matter.

A citizen was rescued after his vehicle drifted in the Wadi Haym stream in the Wilayat of Amerat by the patrols of the Amerat Police Station, the Civil Defence  Ambulance Authority. He is in good health.

A person is inside a vehicle in Wadi Nahida, in the Ras al-Jabal area, in the Wilayat of Adam, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. It is being dealt with by the Nahida Police Station patrols located at the site.

A family of 7 citizens in the Wilayat of Izki are stuck due to water entering the house. Follow-up is being conducted by specialised teams.

A family is stuck inside a vehicle in the Niyabat of Samad Al Shan in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi. The report is being dealt with.

Wadi Samad Al-Shan is flowing at a high level, and water entered the Rawda School building in the Al-Ghazel area, with people stuck inside the school, and vehicles parked in front of the school being swept away. Follow-up and rescues are being carried out by specialised teams.

A person is stuck inside a vehicle in Wadi Al-Zahir neighborhood in the state of Qurayyat.

The Royal Oman Police also received a report of a person being stuck inside a vehicle in Wadi Samad Al Shan in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi.

The police has warned people not to venture out into valleys during rainfall.
