GAZA: Israeli Occupation Forces committed five massacres against families in the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours, resulting in the documented killing of at least 52 Palestinians and the injury of 95 others, according to medical sources.
Local health authorities confirmed that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught since October 7 has risen to 33,686 reported fatalities, with an additional 76,309 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.
Meanwhile, ambulance and rescue teams are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave, as Israeli occupation forces continue to obstruct the movement of and ambulance and civil defence teams.
Intense airstrikes
Israeli warplanes continued to carry out intense airstrikes on Nusseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip for the third day on Saturday, resulting in numerous injuries among Palestinian civilians.
Local sources reported that several civilians were injured with various degrees as a result of the Israeli bombardment targeting the northern outskirts of the camp.
Simultaneously, the Israeli occupation army renewed its artillery shelling on an UNRWA school housing displaced persons in the camp, resulting in damages but not casualties.
Several Palestinians were injured by gunfire and dozens of homes were set on fire this afternoon in a large-scale attack by Israeli settler militias on the village of Duma, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
Suleiman Dawabsha, the head of Duma Village Council, told WAFA that confrontations erupted in the town during which a number of local Palestinian citizens were shot with live bullets while trying to fend off the settlers’ attack, who set fire to several homes in the village.
Settlers attacked the homes of citizens in the village yesterday evening, coinciding with a widespread raid by the occupation forces. Another big-scale attack by settlers also took place yesterday on the nearby town of Al-Mughayyir.
Israeli settler militias, under the protection of the Israeli army, have closed the entrances to the towns of Silwad, Turmus Aya, Sinjil, and Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah Governorate, and attacked passing vehicles.
