Muscat: IKEA, one of the world's largest home furnishing retailers, will now deliver products across the Sultanate.
Both citizens and residents in the country can shop online and place order from their UAE store starting today.
In a statement online, officials at IKEA said: "Founded in Sweden more than 76 years ago, IKEA is the world’s largest home furnishing retailer with more than 400 stores across 50 countries. Today, we are preparing to create a better everyday life for the many in Oman.
"With online shopping from our UAE website and delivery to Oman, you will have easy access to a wide range of well-designed and functional home furnishing products at low prices."
To proceed, all you need to do it choose your product and add to cart, and pay on IKEA Shop Online using Mastercard or Visa. Finally, fill in your Oman delivery address.
"You can start by browsing our UAE website for ideas, inspirations and choosing the products you wish to buy. Once you have your shopping list ready, you can proceed to checkout and complete the order with your address in Oman," the statement added.
It continued: "Once you place an order online, we’ll gather the items for you and have it delivered directly from one of our Distribution Centers to your home or office. We offer 2 methods of delivery which are based on the weight and size of your order."
As per the official figures provided by IKEA, delivery cost is Dhs100 (OMR10.5) for all areas in Oman while assembly cost is Dhs250 (OMR26).
