Expat arrested in money doubling scam; OMR 22,000 seized

Muscat: An expat has been arrested for defrauding a citizen of a sum amounting to OMR 22,000, said the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

ROP said in a statement :"The General Department of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations arrests a person of African nationality for defrauding a citizen and seized an amount of OMR 22,000 from him after he claimed to double the money. The legal procedures are being completed against him."
