Muscat: The Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS), has made an urgent appeal to people to donate platelets at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar due to the urgent need for platelets during this period.
DBBS said in a statement: "Due to the very urgent need for platelets during this time, we urge everyone to take the initiative to donate platelets at the Central Blood Bank (Baushar), as there are numerous disease cases that require platelets. For your information, non-fasting people can donate blood in the morning."
"The donation hours at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar are from Sunday to Thursday, from 8 am to 12.30 pm in the morning period and in the evening period from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm daily. The last moment for platelet donations is 10.30 pm. For inquiries or to book an appointment to donate, please contact WhatsApp at 94555648," DBBS added .
