MoCIIP organises meeting with ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) organized a meeting with Their Excellencies, the ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized a meeting recently today with Their Excellencies, the ambassadors, and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Sultanate of Oman at the Invest Oman Lounge. The aim of the meeting is to introduce the incentives and investment opportunities available in the Sultanate of Oman across various targeted sectors and to attract foreign capital during the upcoming period.

Eng. Ammar Al Kharusi, the CEO of Invest Oman Lounge, presented a visual presentation during the meeting about the most prominent aspects of the investment, tourism, and economic environment in the Sultanate of Oman. He also introduced the economic developments, investment laws, and facilities provided by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion to investors in various sectors.

On the other hand, Their Excellencies, the ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions took a tour in the Invest Oman Lounge where they familiarized themselves with the essential services and facilities provided for investors interested in investing in the Sultanate of Oman. They learned about the investment mechanism, associated entities, potentialities, and information provided to investors, as well as the prominent opportunities available in various economic sectors in the Sultanate of Oman.

Her Excellency Ibtisam Al Farooji, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion, emphasized that the meeting provides an opportunity to present Oman's facilitations and incentives and to gather feedback, requirements, and opinions of foreign ambassadors residing in the Sultanate of Oman to enhance attracting foreign capital in support of achieving the goals of Oman Vision 2040.

She pointed out that organizing this meeting reflects the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion's realization of the vital role that accredited diplomatic missions to the Sultanate of Oman can play in supporting efforts to attract major investors to invest in the Sultanate of Oman and promote Omani products in global markets.

His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Diplomatic Affairs, stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working hand in hand with relevant entities in the Sultanate of Oman to promote the investment and tourism potentials of the Sultanate through its engagement with sisterly and friendly countries. This event is part of those ongoing efforts.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion works on facilitating and developing the business environment to enhance Oman's position as a fertile ground for business and investment growth and a leading destination for attracting investors and entrepreneurs by enhancing integration efforts among relevant entities.
