Muscat: Her Highness the Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman, has addressed a message of congratulations on the occasion of Mother’s Day, which falls on 21 March every year.
The message reads as follows: "We are pleased to congratulate the dear mothers in our beloved country and the mothers around the world on the occasion of Mother’s Day, which falls on the twenty-first of March every year. Wishing them goodness and success, pride and exaltation, living in safety and reassurance, and contributing effectively to all development programs and areas of life."
Celebrating this day is nothing but enhancing the meanings of gratitude and reverence, intensifying feelings of love and pride, and further highlighting the roles of the great mother and her high status that the Most Merciful Lord and our Noble Chosen Messenger have recommended to us.
On this occasion, as we live these blessed days of the holy month of Ramadan, the month of goodness, mercy and benevolence, we pray to God, powerful and kind, to protect mothers in all parts of the earth, especially our people in the occupied land of Palestine, and to bless them with peace, security and liberation.
