Five arrested for attempting to smuggle over 900 packages of drugs into Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested five people for attempting to smuggle more than 900 packages of khat drug into the Sultanate of Oman.

ROP said in a statement: "Coast Guard police boats led by the Dhofar Governorate Police arrested five people of Arab nationality while trying to smuggle more than 900 packages of the khat drug." 

The legal procedures were completed against them.
