Russian House Oman celebrates Spring Festival with record-breaking event

Muscat: The Russian House Oman hosted its biggest and most diverse event to date, the Spring Festival. The event brought together around 400 guests to celebrate Maslenitsa (Russian Pancake Week) and International Women's Day.

The festivities included traditional games and contests, art classes, dancing, and live music. Guests enjoyed a variety of activities, such as pillow fights, tug-of-war, and a strongman competition.

For the first time, the Russian House Oman organised a marketplace featuring Russian-speaking businesses in Oman. Visitors had the opportunity to experience traditional Omani henna art and enjoy Arabic coffee and sweets.

"This event was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the diversity of Russian culture and to strengthen ties between Oman and Russia. The inclusion of the first-ever Russian-speaking business marketplace at the festival provided a valuable platform for businesses to connect, network, and explore potential collaborations, ultimately facilitating business growth in both countries." - Igor Egorov, Head of the Russian-speaking Community in Oman.

Many guests came dressed in national costumes, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The Russian House Oman team expressed gratitude to the companies that supported the event and provided prizes for the raffle. Special thanks were extended to the gold sponsor, Al Mouj who helped to make an event spectacular.

The team also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the volunteers who made the day unforgettable.

The Russian House Oman concluded by thanking the Embassy of Russia in Oman and Ilya Anatolyevich Morgunov for their support.
