NCSI starts consumer confidence survey

Muscat: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) began on Monday conducting the 41st session of the Consumer Confidence Survey for the first quarter of 2024.

The survey, which runs till 14 March, targets Omani citizens over the age of 18, including at least 1,500 citizens from various governorates, considering the representation of males, females, different age groups and educational levels as well.

Data will also be collected by telephone through the NCSI’s call centre.

The Consumer Confidence Survey for the Q1 of 2024 aims to measure several factors that affect the Omani economy, including the financial condition of families, factors that negatively or positively affect the economy, future expectations of the economy, and the availability of job opportunities.
