Muscat: The University of Nizwa recently hosted its grand graduation ceremony, commemorating the achievements of its 16th batch. With 1097 graduates spanning diverse majors in Master's, Bachelor’s, and Diploma degrees, the institution proudly prepared these individuals to join the workforce and make meaningful contributions to their respective industries.
The graduation ceremony was under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Sbaa Hamdan Al Saadi, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for National Celebrations, accompanied by the University Chancellor, Prof. Ahmed Khalfan Al Rawahi, and alongside respected deans of colleges and deanships of the University. The ceremony was attended by renowned dignitaries in academia and community honourable guests.
During the ceremony, Professor Al Rawahi delivered a powerful speech on behalf of the University affiliates. Addressing the graduates, he emphasised the significance of the knowledge they have gained during their advanced academic journey, along with the fundamental values and skills they have acquired. He confidently asserted that they are now well-equipped to utilise these tools to fulfil their aspirations and achieve their dreams.
The graduation ceremony featured a speech from Maather Al Abdulsalam, a bachelor's degree student, on behalf of the graduates. She expressed her pride in the achievements of the graduates and highlighted the nation's pride in their accomplishments. Ms Abdulsalam emphasized the collective responsibility to raise the national flag and contribute to the development and prosperity of Oman. She expressed her hope that the country would flourish under the wise and trustworthy leadership of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, may God protect and preserve him.
The ceremony showcased the graduates' pride and determination as they adorned their graduation gowns, symbolising their hard work and dedication. With 952 Bachelor recipients, 37 Master's degrees, and 108 holders, the event underscored their commitment to excellence and readiness for professional endeavours.
