HM the Sultan issues 4 Royal Decrees

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Sunday issued 4 Royal decrees reading as follows:

Royal Decree No. (13/2024) on amending some provisions of the State of Emergency Law.

Article (1) states that the amendments attached to this decree shall be applied to the State of Emergency Law promulgated by Royal Decree No. (75/2008).

Article (2) says that this decree shall be published on the Official Gazette and enforced on the day following its date of publishing.

Royal Decree No. (14/2024) determines the specialisations of the Ministry of Social Development and approves its Organisational Structure.

Article (1) stipulates that the specializations of the Ministry of Social Development shall be determined in accordance with Annex No. (1) attached to this decree.

Article (2) endorses the Organizational Structure of the Ministry of Social Development in accordance with Annex No. (2) attached to this decree.

Article (3) cancels Royal Decree No. (32/2003) on determining the specialisations of the Ministry of Social development and approving its organisational structure. It also cancels all that contradicts this decree or contravenes its provisions.

Article (4) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

Royal Decree No. (15/2024) on appointing a Permanent Representative for the Sultanate of Oman to theFood and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in Rome.

Article (1) appoints HH Sayyid Nizar bin Al Julanda bin Majid Al Said, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Italian Republic as Oman’s Permanent Representative to the Food and Agriculture Organization(FAO) of the United Nations in Rome.

Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

Royal Decree No. (16/2024) on appointing a Permanent Representative for the Sultanate of Oman to the Digital Cooperation Organization in Riyadh.

Article (1) appoints HH Sayyid Faisal bin Turki bin Mahmoud Al Said, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as Oman’s Permanent Representative to the Digital Cooperation Organization in Riyadh.

Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
