Vodafone Oman is back to pen a new chapter in its journey of fostering knowledge at the 28th annual Muscat International Book Fair together with the University Student Initiative for a second consecutive year. In 2023 Vodafone’s partnership with the Omani Society for Writers and Literati, Taawon Network, and a group of passionate volunteers, writers and content creators during the Muscat Book Fair led to the donation of over 20,000 books to university students. Building on this success, the company’s 2024 participation promises to set a yet a new benchmark, utilizing technology to support more university and high school students across Oman.
Ahead of the Book Fair, the next-gen telecom provider initiated a book donation drive, collecting valuable titles and subjects during an event held at the Vodafone HUB were attendees donated their book and took part in an interactive session on how these books inspired. All these books and more, are currently on display at the Vodafone exhibit at the Book Fair where students can simply present their student IDs to be able to take a book home.
In line with the company’s aim to enhance educational opportunities among youth, Vodafone’s exhibit at the Muscat International Book Fair presents a literary oasis for book enthusiasts. The Company has planned a series of knowledge-sharing activities, including book readings and podcasts catering to all ages.

The 28th Muscat International Book Fair is a staple event with an extensive gathering of authors, publishers, and book lovers from around the globe. Taking place at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre from February 22 to March 2, this year’s Fair features over 500 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, showcasing thousands of titles across genres ranging from fiction and non-fiction to academic texts and children’s books.
