Embassy of Pakistan in Muscat celebrates achievements of Pakistani women in Oman

Muscat: The Embassy of Pakistan in Muscat hosted an event to honour the accomplishments of Pakistani women residing in Oman.

The event was the first of the three events that the Embassy plans to celebrate the Pakistan National Day 2024.

HH Sayyida Hujaija Jaifer Al Said was the Guest of Honour at the event and distributed certificates among the ladies.

The historic event, which was the first-of-its-kind was organised to recognise the contributions and successes of Pakistani women across different spheres of life. Around 60 women from all walks of life, representing academia, healthcare, entrepreneurship, arts and community service were recognised by the Embassy.

During the ceremony, distinguished Pakistani women were accorded special recognition and presented with certificates as a token of appreciation for their outstanding contributions to their respective fields and to the community in general.

Ambassador of Pakistan to Oman, Imran Ali expressed his admiration to the Pakistani women who excelled in their fields. He said that Pakistani women continue to inspire and lead in all spheres of life.

He emphasised Pakistan Government’s unwavering commitment to promote gender equality, and enhancement of opportunities for women, both domestically and internationally.

He was hopeful that such recognition of achievements at Embassy’s level would encourage more women to go beyond their conventional role in the society.

Students of Pakistan School Muscat presented inspirational performance during the event.
