Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, will host on Sunday, the third edition of the “World Travel Week - Middle East” event, at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel for a period of four days.
Around 31 Omani tourism institutions, and 94 specialists in the field of tourism from various countries of the world will take part in the event.
This ceremony comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism to enhance the tourism sector in the Sultanate of Oman, as it gives an opportunity to tourism companies and workers in the tourism sector from various countries of the world to meet their counterparts and work on joint cooperation between them.
During the event, introductory trips will be organised for major international tourism companies to learn more about the tourist attractions and tourist experiences in the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman to provide a comprehensive picture of these companies. Its role will later be reflected in its promotion of the Sultanate of Oman, as 14 tourism companies were chosen to conduct familiarization trips in the Dhofar Governorate.
Haitham bin Muhammad al Ghassan, Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, said: “This event is a valuable addition to the list of luxury tourism companies and has proven through its previous editions that it adds high value to businesses and companies.”
The Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism added that the hosting of this event will strengthen international cooperation in the field of luxury tourism, exchanging experiences and knowledge, and strengthening the position of the Sultanate of Oman as a luxury tourist destination on the global stage. This event enjoys wide participation from experts and specialists in the field of luxury tourism from various countries of the world.
