ABQ Education Group hosts Art Exhibition for charity

Muscat – ABQ Education Group is excited to host their inaugural student art exhibition, Whispers of Colour, at the Mall of Muscat from Thursday, 29 February to Saturday, 2 March. This unique showcase features outstanding artwork crafted by their students from ABQ Azzan Bin Qais (MQ Campus), ABQ Seeb and ABQ Sohar, encompassing students of various ages.

Beyond showcasing talent, the ABQ students also embody the group's motto, 'we care,' as they will generously make their artworks available for purchase with all proceeds being donated to Dar Al Atta’a, a distinguished charity organisation known for its remarkable contributions to Oman and global projects over many years.

Humayun Kabir, CEO of ABQ Education Group, emphasised the significance of a well-rounded education that prepares students for the real world. He stated, "Through this opportunity, students were not only able to unleash their creativity but also developed essential skills such as time management, initiative and productivity. Witnessing their artworks framed and displayed for the community's appreciation is a reward in itself, coupled with the fulfillment of giving back to those in need."

Whispers of Colour marks the grand finale of a month-long celebration of art across ABQ's international schools. The selection process involved curating the finest works from each institution, culminating in the upcoming exhibition at the Mall of Muscat.

This initiative was spearheaded by ABQ Sohar's art teacher, Mariette Peens, an extraordinary artist herself. Reflecting on this initiative, Peens stated, "Cultivating an appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us should be ingrained in our daily lives. Witnessing the pride of the students as their creations grace the display is truly exciting - a testament to the enduring impact of embracing artistic expression.”

Notably, the exhibition includes captivating pieces created by passionate and creative staff members within the ABQ group. Additionally, there will be several fun and creative activities for budding young artists to enjoy on the day.

The official opening ceremony on Thursday, 29 February, will be graced by the esteemed presence of His Highness Sayyid Azzan Kais Tarik Al Said, who will serve as the guest of honour. The event promises a vibrant and enriching experience, combining artistic expression with an honourable cause.

ABQ Education Group extends a warm invitation to the community to join the Whispers of Colour Art Exhibition, appreciating the creativity of their students and staff whilst contributing to a charitable cause that makes a positive impact in the lives of thousands of people annually.
