Muscat: The enchanting beauty and rich cultural heritage of Oman took centre stage at the ‘Waves of Colors’ exhibition, mesmerising visitors at Oman Avenues Mall recently.
In a celebration of Oman’s diverse landscapes and captivating traditions, the exhibition invited guests on a beautiful journey through the country’s natural wonders and artistic expressions.
Oman’s rugged mountains, majestic forts, meandering streams, and lush valleys have long inspired artists from around the world, drawing them into its colourful embrace.
Curated by Rema Sivakumar, the exhibition featured the works of 19 artists, each offering a unique interpretation of Oman’s allure through various artistic styles and genres.
The focal point of attraction was a captivating display of free-style sculptures, showcasing the artists’ skill and imagination. Among the treasures, a standout piece was the captivating mirror art, igniting conversations and awe-inspiring moments among visitors.
Inaugurated by Abdul Latheef, Managing Director of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals and expatriate representative on the Oman Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the event underscored the growing appreciation for art and culture in Oman.
Over three days, thousands of curious visitors thronged the venue, eager to immerse themselves in the kaleidoscope of colours and textures adorning the atrium.
The participating artists unveiled their masterpieces, offering unique perspectives on Oman’s natural wonders and cultural
heritage.
From breathtaking photographs capturing the essence of the landscape to intricately crafted sculptures, the exhibition celebrated the boundless creativity of the human spirit.
Notable artists such as Aisha Zahir Dosani, Reji Chandi, Mina Rezaee, were among the artists who showcased their work along with Rema Sivakumar, Mhearts, Neethu Chabria, Parul B Razdan, Mehran Badbor, Mohammed, Ajayan Poyara, Krishna Syam, Vaddepalli Kavitha Shali, Radhakrishnan, Anuradha Shanbhag, Kavitha Shali, Rachel Epen, Simran, and Sutanwi Raic.
Beyond its visual allure, the exhibition served as a platform for dialogue, fostering connections between artists and the public.
By showcasing a range of artworks, from traditional to contemporary, it encouraged visitors to explore new styles and deepen their understanding of Omani art and culture.
