Oman to meet Brazil in 12th Beach Soccer World Cup

Muscat: Oman's national beach football team will meet its Brazilian counterpart tomorrow, Friday, at the beginning of its campaign in the 12th edition of the Beach Soccer World Cup, which is hosted by the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates during the period from 15 to 25 February.

 The tournament ill witness the participation of 16 teams: Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Iran, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, Senegal, Spain, America, Tahiti, and the Emirates, in addition to our national team.

 At the beginning of its international journey, the team will face Brazil in the first round of Group D, which also includes Portugal and Mexico, as the Red Beaches seek an ideal start in their first appearance and achieve a positive result that will serve them in the rest of the matches in order to compete for the qualification cards from Group D.

 The team continued its preparations for the tournament through training sessions on the training field designated for the teams in the tournament, focusing on strengthening the physical aspects, including some technical skill training. The team also played a friendly match with its Belarusian counterpart, which ended in a 7/3 victory.
