Muscat: Several Wilayats of South Al Batinah Governorate witnessed rains of varying intensity due to the weather conditions that the Sultanate of Oman is experiencing.
Most regions and villages of the Wilayat of Rustaq witnessed rain of varying intensity, accompanied by winds and thunderstorms, concentrated over villages in the centre of the Wilayat, Wadi Bani Ghafir, Wadi Al-Sahtan, Wadi Bani Awf, Niyabat Al-Huqain, Wadi Al-Himli, and Wadi Al-Hajar. This led to flooding at Wadi Bani Ghafir, Wadi Bani Hani, Wadi Al-Sahtan, Wadi Bani Awf and other valleys.
The villages of Al-Hajir, Halal, Satal, Saniba, Shaw, Thaqab, Al-Hajjar, Misfat Al-Sharqiyeen, Hadas and Al-Olia in Wadi Bani Kharous in the Wilayat of Al-Awabi also witnessed heavy rains accompanied by winds and hailstones. The Wilayat's centre and the Falaj Bani Khuzair villages, Al-Sahel and Al-Hashiya, also witnessed light rains.
The Wilayat of Nakhal witnessed light to moderate rainfall, causing valleys and reefs to flood, as well as Wadi Al-Thawarah, which witnessed a heavy rain flow due to the weather conditions.
