Haima: Endowed with virgin beaches, beautiful sand dunes, hills and mountains, Al Wusta Governorate provides ample opportunities to private sector and entrepreneurs for investments in the tourism sector.
With ample tourist infrastructure in place, Al Wusta Governorate boasts of 20 hotel establishments with 751 rooms of various categories and 465 hotel units under the supervision of the Special Economic Zone Authority- Duqm.
Bakhit bin Amer bin Suhail Al Amri, Director of the Heritage and Tourism Department in Al Wusta Governorate, said that the governorate is rich in tourism potentials as it has all the natural ingredients like beaches extending from Ras Al Rowais to Ras Madraka among others.
The governorate also possesses sites for watching stars, natural reserves and wetlands.
The reserve is considered one of the best 25 sites of international importance for migrating birds in the Middle East, he said.
The governorate is also famous for eco-tourism, which opens the door for several projects and initiatives for private sector.
