Suspension of classes announced for higher educational institutions in Oman

Muscat: Classes have been suspended at higher education institutions in all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, except for Al Wusta and Dhofar, for one day on Monday, February 12, 2024, due to the weather conditions that the Sultanate of Oman is witnessing.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation referenced Alert No. (1) issued by the National Multiple Hazards Early Warning Center and to the follow-up of the Ministry’s Central Committee for Emergency Situations Management regarding the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman being affected by the air depression and for the Ministry to ensure the safety of its students, it was decided to suspend studies in all institutions that it supervises and manages in all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, except for the governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta, on Monday, February 12, 2024. Studies will resume on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
