Muscat: Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation of GCC Chambers, stressed the significance of boosting cooperation among the private sectors of the GCC States for growth of trade and investments and for speedy execution of joint projects.
He said that the future outlook of the GCC States envisages the importance of private sector.
He said that there are projects that deserve the attention and care of the Federation of GCC Chambers as they contribute to achievement of economic integration.
The Board of Directors of the Federation of GCC Chambers started the 23rd session of meeting on Saturday.
He also pointed to the significance of efforts to strengthen the march of the Federation of GCC Chambers, which started in 1979.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Omani businessmen began a visit to Manama on Saturday for strengthening economic, trade and investment relations between the two countries.
The delegation, headed by Eng. Ridha bin Juma Al Saleh, a member of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, consists of a number of members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and representatives of Omani companies operating in education, health, foodstuffs, infrastructure, jwellery, real estate, hotels, tourism, logistics and fishing.
Eng. Ridha bin Juma said that the delegation of Omani businessmen will meet with a number of officials in the public and private sectors in Bahrain. -ONA
