Muscat: Oman Meteorology has issued an alert of possible heavy rains in the Sultanate of Oman tomorrow evening, as the effects of the depression will begin tomorrow morning, Sunday, with clouds accompanied by scattered thunderstorms.
Civil Aviation Authority said in a warning: “Due to the heavy thunderstorms accompanied by active winds, hailstones likely to fall on the governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, South Al Batinah, Muscat and Al Dakhiliyah from tomorrow evening, Sunday and Monday. The Civil Aviation Authority calls on everyone to exercise caution during thunderstorms, not to cross valleys, avoid low-lying places, and not to go to the sea during the warning period."
Alerts: Heavy rain accompanied by hailstones ranging between (30 - 60 mm), leads to the flow of valleys and reefs, Active downward winds, and speeds ranging between 15 - 35 knots (28 - 64 km/h).
