Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, exchanged orders and commemorative gifts at Al Alam Palace on Tuesday evening on the occasion of the visit made to Oman by the Emir of Kuwait.
His Majesty the Sultan conferred the "Al Said Order", Oman’s most lofty accolade, on Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, in commendation for Sheikh Mishal and in manifestation of the deep-rooted fraternal relations binding the two countries and their peoples.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah awarded His Majesty the Sultan the “Order of Mubarak the Great”, Kuwait’s most magnificent decoration, in commendation of His Majesty the Sultan and in acknowledgment of the distinguished fraternal ties between the two countries and their peoples.
His Majesty the Sultan also presented Sheikh Mishal with a commemorative gift, which was an Omani dagger.
