Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait held an official session of talks at Al Alam Palace on Tuesday.
At the outset of the session, His Majesty the Sultan reiterated his welcome to Sheikh Mishal, being an eminent guest of the Sultanate of Oman, wishing him and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay.
In his turn, Sheikh Mishal expressed his utmost thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for the warm welcome and hospitality.
The session reviewed march of the deep-rooted and distinguished relations binding Oman and Kuwait. It also touched on various aspects of cooperation between the two countries and means of promoting them to serve the fraternal ties between their peoples and achieve further prosperity, progress and welfare.
The two leaders also discussed a set of topics, in light of the regional and international developments.
The official session of talks was attended from the Omani side by HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, HH Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior (Head of the Mission of Honour), Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Oufi, Head of the Private Office and Dr. Saleh bin Amir Al Kharousi, Ambassador of Oman to Kuwait.
Meanwhile, it was attended from the Kuwaiti side by Sheikh Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Jarrah Al Sabah, Sheikh Hamad Sabah Al Ahmed Al Sabah, Sheikh Mubarak Al Hamoud Al Jaber Al Sabah, Sheikh Athbi Nassir Al Athbi Al Sabah, Sheikh Ali Khalid Al Jaber Al Sabah, Sheikh Mansour Mubarak Abdullah Al Jaber Al Sabah, Sheikh Dr. Bassil Al Hamoud Al Malik Al Sabah, Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al Mubarak Al Sabah, Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, Dr.Imad Mohammad Abdulaziz Al Ateeqi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil, Lt.Gen Jamal Mohammed Al Diab.
