Muscat - General Automotive Company (GAC), the authorized distributor for Mitsubishi vehicles in Oman, successfully concluded the second season of ‘Montero Mania’ desert excursion. Indeed, the event has become an annual high-point for the Montero Sport enthusiasts and their families.
In fact, due to the overwhelming response, the event this year had two separate overnight desert expeditions on 12th & 13th January, and then again on 2nd & 3rd February. Both occasions saw large turnouts of excited families in their Monteros.
Montero Mania 2024 raised the bar for brand engagement and camaraderie among Mitsubishi Montero Sport SUV owners, with 350 guests and 78 vehicles joining both adventurous convoys to a desert camp in Wahiba Sands in season 2.
After technical briefings by experts in the afternoon, participants took off for adrenaline-pumping dune bashing, before driving up to a vantage point for a spectacular view of a desert sunset. Later in the day, Kids got to enjoy several games, competitions, henna and face-painting, while being entertained by a One man show band.
Late evening attractions included a magic show and lively quiz, with the night culminating in live DJ music, bonfire, fireworks, and much more. Participants bid adieu to the camp on Saturday morning after an enthusiastic photo-session.
