Muscat: Oman Meteorology has warned people of northwesterly winds that could cause dust storms in desert and open areas over various parts of the Sultanate of Oman on Sunday, February 4, 2024.
Oman Meteorology said in a statement: "Northwesterly wind activity over parts of Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah and Al Wusta, where some monitoring stations recorded wind speeds of up to 23 knots in Fahud and 18 knots in Mukhaizna, Duqm and Masirah, which may cause dust and dirt to rise in desert and open areas. Northwest wind activity is expected to continue during today's hours. "
